Mourning Mum is an accessible and open-hearted narrative about the author's journey of complex grief after the passing of her mum during COVID… and the resulting realizations that have helped her reframe her life, embrace her mother’s life lessons, and provide a toolkit for others about grieving.

You will cry, you will laugh, you will feel the full breadth of emotions that it means to be human. As Georgina takes us on this journey, she provides space for us to understand our own grief, suggesting tools and presenting an opportunity to genuinely feel and heal. This book is easy to digest, but an uncomfortable topic. It provides us with an opportunity to share our more heartbreaking moments with one another in a way that builds a meaningful connection with ourselves and others.

Georgina reveals that "This book was never meant for publication. It was a tool to help me navigate my journey through the loss of my Mum. A coping mechanism. A way of expressing my feelings, understanding my story, and healing. Writing and journaling came out of the blue. Something I hated became my lifeline. And now I am hoping it will help you too."

We Sea You
This is the latest article that I have written specifically about my personal passion for diversifying the outdoor space and sports. In this article for InDepth magazine, while acknowledging that today, the tech diving community is largely older, male, and white, I propose that we all can play a role in encouraging cultural and structural change to ensure that diverse divers are seen, heard, recognized, and rewarded. By doing so, we would not only encourage the future relevance and resilience of the diving industry but also expand its appeal into untapped markets. Besides that, it’s simply the right thing to do.

Well, I will always remember the year I gave my TEDx Talk! 2020 the year we spoke from home!

In this talk, I discuss how
thinking ‘cultures thoughts’, challenges our ability to be kind and practice self-reflection, thus enabling racism without racists, misogyny without sexists, and the persistence of inequality.
Referencing the wonderful research of Dr. Brene Brown, and philosopher Krishnamurti.
