NEURO-INCLUSIVE
MATURITY MODEL

Rewiring Culture. One Decision, One Leader, One System at a Time.

The BARDO Neuro-Inclusive Maturity Model (NIMM) is not a checklist.

It’s a cultural architecture blueprint, rooted in neuroscience, built for systems change, and designed to embed inclusion at every level of your organisation.

Because the truth is, people don’t resist change.
Their brains do. It's biology.

So if you want inclusion that sticks, in behaviours, decisions, leadership, and strategy, you need more than good intentions and nicely written policies.

You need a model that works with the biology of the brain, not against it.

NIMM: A QUICK OVERVIEW

What is NIMM?

NIMM is a 3-level developmental journey (Delta, Alpha, Gamma) designed to embed inclusion through the biology of the brain.

It blends neuroscience, behavioural insight, and organisational psychology with the lived realities of leading change, equipping you to build cultures where equity is wired in, not tacked on.

It guides individuals, teams, and whole institutions through a process of building neuro-inclusive capability, confidence, and culture.

Each stage comes with:

  • Developmental online course, with activities, that can be embedded into line management reviews

  • Practical tools & templates

  • Bite-sized, evidence-based learning

  • Reflection exercises & behavioural nudges

  • A thriving online Community of Practice for real-world peer learning

  • Support to turn inclusion into embedded everyday leadership

Why it works:

People don’t change because they’re told to.
They change when the environment supports it, the brain gets on board, and the tools make it easy.

NIMM is:

  • Neuroscience-informed

  • Practical, not preachy

  • Behaviourally smart

  • Culture-focused, not compliance-led

  • Anchored in real-world leadership realities

It’s not about one-off workshops or surface-level awareness.

It’s a journey of rewiring, rethinking, and reimagining how inclusion actually lives in your organisation.

Who is it for?

  • Leaders ready to go beyond good intentions

  • Teams ready to align behaviour with values

  • Organisations ready to embed equity into the very fabric of how they operate

  • Changemakers ready for a model that finally makes sense of the mess

If you’re done with performative inclusion and ready for a real culture shift, NIMM is your roadmap.

THE THREE LEVELS

DELTA

Delta – Awareness & Activation
→ Uncover the hidden habits and patterns that shape inclusion and exclusion. Start shifting behaviour through small, science-backed changes.

ALPHA

Alpha – Alignment & Embedding
→ Connect intention to impact. Align thinking habit loops, behavioural cues, and leadership habits to make an inclusive culture the default setting, not the exception.

GAMMA

Gamma – Autopilot Inclusion
→ Inclusion is no longer “extra work” — it’s how things are done. At this stage, inclusion is internalised, unconscious bias is regularly intercepted, and culture evolves organically.

DIFFERENT PATHWAYS

EVOLVE TO LEAD

Evolve to Lead is the signal of serious leadership maturity.
It’s not for everyone — and that’s the point.

This is where science meets courage.

Where neural plasticity meets cultural agility. Where leaders grow not just in skills, but in self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and systemic impact.

FIXED TO FLOURISH

Fixed to Flourish helps people expand their inner capacity to navigate difference, challenges, feedback, and setbacks with confidence and curiosity.

It nurtures a shift from limiting, often unconscious habits of thought to a mindset rooted in growth, possibility, and self-belief — unlocking the potential that’s already within.

BUILD TO BELONG

Intent isn’t enough.

Impact takes culture and infrastructure.

Build To Belong helps staff and systems align, so inclusion becomes the way things actually happen around here.

Not a policy. Not a poster. Not an Action Plan. A lived, felt, neurobiological reality.

Developmental Assessment Tools

Simple, Easy to Use, Assessment

As part of the NIMM framework, we've created three simple self-assessment tools, one for each developmental pathway.

These Google Forms help individuals and teams reflect on where they currently sit on the NIMM maturity scale. They consist of just 10 questions using a Linear scale.

They're designed to be simple, used regularly, offering a clear baseline and tracking progress over time.

Results can be visualised using a Stream Graph to show shifts in thinking, behaviour, and culture. For those on our Advanced or Enterprise packages, a BARDO coach will help interpret the data and identify which areas need revisiting. NIMM is not a test; there’s no pass or fail. It’s a developmental model that supports continuous learning and growth.

INCLUSION THAT STICKS

The future of inclusive leadership, built for real brains, real systems, and real impact.

Behaviour that shifts. Change that lasts.
